Satyajit Desai Fitness trainer for Hrithik, Amir, Saif Ali ....

If the lean and chiselled look of actor Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2 made you drool, then you must give credit to the man behind that body. No, it isn't Hrithik, but fitness trainer Satyajit Desai, also known as Satya was in the capital recently to launch a gym.

His clientele includes Saif Ali Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Ajay Devgan, Rani Mukerji, Esha Deol and Anil Ambani.

A fitness trainer for two decades, Satya counts Aamir Khan amongst his oldest clients. He is currently working with him in the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Gajini.

Satya said that each actor has different requirements and the fitness formula for each varies. As for the fitness trends in Bollywood these days, he says, "Lean and chiselled look is in."

Stressing on the importance of regular exercise, Satya said, "It is important to burn the extra calories by increasing the metabolism rate to keep the body fit. For that, exercise and a healthy diet hold the key."

Satya's prescription for a healthy and fit body is a basic exercise regime that includes short work-out sessions of 30 minutes duration on at least four days a week. His dietary prescription comprises small, light meals that should be taken 7-8 times a day. Sugar and white bread should be avoided.

For people who are lazy and hate to exercise, Satya's message is "Seeing your body become lean and muscular is possibly the best incentive to exercise. Begin with short, light sessions that would not result in burn-out."
