Leaving aside the politics and the strategies of the politicians let us take a look at the real facts about Telangana issue and its status.Formation of Andhra Pradesh
* In 1947 Nizam of Hyderabad State (Telangana) did not want to merge with India
* In 1948 Hyderabad State was forced to become part of India
* In 1953 Andhra State was formed based on Telugu speaking area (Sacrifice of Potti Sriramulu who fasted until death)
Jawaharlal Nehru appointed States Reorganization Commission(SRC) to divide (reorganize) Indian states based on people speaking the same language. And there was a proposal to merge Hyderabad State and Andhra State. But the SRC was against this as they thought that Hyderabad State was underdeveloped and it better be a separate state for its own good.
* In 1956 Hyderabad State (Telangana) was merged with Andhra State to form Andhra Pradesh
But the Government ignored SRC and there was an agreement called “Gentleman’s agreement” which assured sufficient development for Telangana.
After 13 years starts a movement to separate Andhra Pradesh again
* In 1969 Jai Telangana Movement started People in Telangana region were not happy with the 1956 agreement as the Government did not implement what was promised. Students in Osmania University started this movement and this caused violence and deaths of hundreds of people in Telangana region. The sacrifices of these people were wasted as the cruel politics of Congress lured many separatists to their party and the movement was all dampened.
Today
- After 1969 there was not many complains from the people of the region but when even a new party wants to come to power they bring up the topic of Seperate Telangana State to win elections starting
- In 1990’s BJP promised a separate state if they come to power but could not as TDP was opposing it
- In 2004 Congress promised a separate state if they come to power and merged with parties in Telangana regions to win elections.
- Now KCR has succeeded in doing so with his fasting .
Some Controversial Facts:
Pro Telangana:
People from Telangana region pay more taxes (More Alcohol consumption) than Andhra but the claim is that these are being used for the development of Andhra regions. It if were a separate state it can use all the money from the region for its own development.
No Telangana:
Isn’t it a fact that every part of the state needs resources for its own development. As most parts of Andhra have good lands they generate more money and this can be shared if not equally. There are no big movements after 1969 unless the political parties bring it up
Aside from the Facts there are the questions that need to answered ap map leaders
- Yes, Telangana was not being developed in 1969. Does that fact still apply after 40 years in 2009?
- Isn’t Hyderabad the 5th largest city in the country and is in Telangana region?
- Where will the Telangana get money for its development (Still from Alcohol Taxes) or Will it be only from Hyderabad?
- Do the people in Telangana regions really feel the pain or Is it just a political game to come to power?
- Is it just the small parties in Telangana region that want recognition by getting a new state?
- Was the decision made by the government in 1956 based on Telugu speaking people instead of development a right one?
- Is it just that people who want identity bring this up so that they could get one?
- Does Telugu Thalli needs to split into half?
- Why is this issue so low during NTR’s period?
- Does Telangana have Identity crises? Don’t even talk about it. Its about the development of the region.

The new threat is the spreading of AIDS in Telanagana Region from ANDHRA region in some districts of ANDHRA it is like a family business.This business is spreading to Telanagana region especially to Hyderabad and it is major threat from ANDHRA to remaining India. So, I request the central govt.to make a quarentine tests to each and every person who is enterinig to remaiang parts of the India from Andhra.
If we are people with some sense, let us not follow this idiot politicans.
May our spirts bring some common sense to us and some responsibility to our families. Separation is not solve issues, it make us not feed our families...NO JOBS....NO EDUCATION....To solve problems in a family because each everyone is not right attention..no fool think of spliting it...instead talk them understand the issue and target the issue & resolve it.

All the problem is with politician people of andhara, This issue of seperate would have not come, but due to there narrow mind of developing there own people of andhra. Now they talk about of oneness, I dont understand this people.now somebody is writting the comments that if bangalore people say that telangana people are taking there jobs, n if pune also the same issue arises, Tell him that this issue has already arrised in maharashtra, and the north indian people are betten with lathis, you people are very lucky we didnt do this thing to u, all we need is separetion from u in peacefull manner.
Best solution to bifurcate ANDHRAPRADESH.......!
At present why so many perople are AGAINST bifurcation of AP state? Simple reason is only HYDERABD. Since 1956 to 2011, HYD is common capital for approx 60 years. It is clear the funds used for developtment of HYD is from united state only, for providing infrastructure for Pharma companies, IT companies, infra companies. Central GOVT establishments like IICT, NMDC, Central University, ICRISAT, DRDO,DRDL, Midhani, STPI, IDPL etc...are established in HYDERABD behalf of all TELUGU people sothat COASTAL ANDHRA people as well as RAYALASEEMA people are against of loosing of HYD by bifurcation.
Best solution for this problem is, KEEP ANY COSTAL ANDHRA DISTRICT for 60 years as COMMON CAPITAL also having same copy of establishment of central Govt stated above like IICT, NMDC, Central University, ICRISAT, DRDO,DRDL, Midhani, STPI, IDPL etc... because COSTAL and RAYALASEEMA people don't like to loose central govt establishments , then (after 60 years) you can bifuracte the AP. Then no issues for anybody..............

Hyderabad is 5th capital city before merge only, not after merge k.. if we achieve our state it will move to 2nd capital city in INDIA k... JAI TELANGANA..

I read the all comments.I think the andhra students dont know why the telangana people asking separate telangana.First know what are the reasons then talk about the issue. U r studied people behaving like a fools.
so far I have not come across a good reason (after reading all ur comments) for a separate telengana. so i request u to give me some good facts and statistics also for a good discussion or better understanding of the problem. Also to mention i know the history of telengana.

Is there any one here who experienced the wrath of andhra people.I don't think so.Many people have heard them from some stupid politcians like KCR,KTR who cannot have the chance to become CM in united AP.

No City can not be developed in to metro with a population 80 lakhs with seemandhra population(35lakhs)with just 10 districts state.Can you give me an example.As it was a capital of UNITED ap,central govt have granted projects in hyderabad.If it was not merged with seemandhra in 1956,more than half of the central projects would have been transferred to seemandhra capital making the hyderabad city not much developed as now.That is for sure.
You can see the example Detroit city in US which was once a developed city...now its a degraded one
